British artist Sara MacKillop graduated from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2001. Her work was first seen in Toronto in Provisional Worlds at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 2002. MacKillop's work has been featured in numerous group shows in England, France, Sweden, Italy, New York and Brooklyn. She has had solo exhibitions at the Leicester City Art Gallery (2008) and in London at Wilkinson Gallery (2006) and Keith Talent Gallery (2002). Recently she has been critically recognized with a new generation of British artists such as Iain Kiaer, for the subtle economy of her work . MacKillop's 'barely there' aesthetic draws wittily on the traditions of Modernism and the overlooked formal attributes of slightly obsolete everyday objects. More about Sara MacKillop
