Known for their collaboration on several extended multi-media projects, Hadley + Maxwell release the aesthetic properties of objects, images, and concepts, putting them to new use. Their work highlights and celebrates shifts in meaning.
Elements of Hadley + Maxwell’s cumulative installation 1 + 1 – 1 (2007-2009) were seen at the gallery in 2008 and again within the complete ensemble in Nomads at the National Gallery of Canada last summer. Several works were acquired by the museum subsequently.
